born 10th March 1964 in Balson, educated at Bishop Cotton School, Simla; succeeded to the throne on 17th July 1979, married at Lucknow, Kumari Yamuna Kumari of Vizianagaram in South India, born 26th February 1972 at Benares, U.P., educated at Bangalore, and has issue, one son.

PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY: Balsan (also known as Balson) was founded by Alak Singh, a scion of the Malwa Royal Family, and thus share an agnatic connection with the rulers of Baghal and Baghat. The Chiefs of Balsan were feudatories of Sirmur till 1815, when a sanad was granted by the British Government. In 1893, the Rana maintained a military force of 50 infantry. Rulers were....

  • Rana RAN BAHADUR SINGH Jandaive, Rana of Balsan 1936/1943 (abdicated), born 1905, married 1stly, 1st July 1925, Rani Parvati Kumari, daughter of Rana Jai Singh of Kotkhai, and his first wife, Rani Kamla Devi, married 2ndly, Rani Vidya Kumari, daughter of Rana Jai Singh of Kotkhai, and his second wife, Rani Lakshmi Kumari, and had issue.   • Rana VIDYA BHUSHAN SINGH Jandaive, Rana of Balsan 1943/1979, born 10th June 1938, succeeded to the throne on the abdication of his father in 1943, married Rajkumari Girija Kumari [Rajmata Sahiba of Balsan], born 31st August 1931, daughter of HH Raja Duleep Singhji of Jhabua, educated at St. Raphael's School, Indore; and had issue, two sons. He died 17th July 1979.

    • Capt. Kunwar Anirudh Singh Jandaive, born 23rd October 1965 at Haridwar, matriculated from Bishop Cotton School, Shimla; graduated from D.A.V. College, Chandigarh; undertook Indian Army Commission training from O.T.A., Madras; served as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army from 10th August 1988 to August 1993, holding the rank of Captain; married 30th November 1993 at Delhi, Kunwarani Sarojini Kumari, daughter of the Thakur Sahib of Siano, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and has issue, one son and one daughter.
