PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY:
The estate was founded by Raja Chandrasekhara Jena, a
member of the Kadamba dynasty, in around the last quarter
of the 16th century. In 1797, the last zamindar, died
without an heir, and the estate was taken over by the East
India Company, declaring it a haveli estate. It was later
purchased in 1817, by the Raja of Parlakhimedi for his
brother, who, afterwards divided the estate between his
two sons, with the elder, Raja Gopinath Deb, succeeding to
Tekkali and the the younger to Nandigram, the former died
without a male heir and the zamindari was inherited by a
maternal grandson. Estate holders were...

Raja of Tekkali 1817/1832, born 1781,
he was granted the zamindari of Tekkali by his
brother, the Raja of Parla Khimedi, who had
purchased it in 1817 from the East India
Company, he divided the estate between his two sons
prior to his death, married and had issue. He died
1832.

of Tekkali (qv)
- Raja Krishna Chandra, he succeeded to the
zamindari of Nandigram, married 2ndly, Sri Gajapathi
Rani Radhamani Mahadevi Garu, the Junior Rani, she
died after 1883, and had issue.

Raja of Tekkali 1832/1852, married Rani Radhika
Patamahadevi [Sri Sri Sri Gajapathi Rani Radhika
Pattamahadevi Garu], Zamindarani of Tekkali 1852/1876,
died 1893, daughter of the Maharaja of Patnagarh, and
had issue, three daughters.
- Rajkumari Ratnamala Devi, married Raja Raghunath
Mansingh Bhramarbar Rai, Raja of Dompada, and had
issue. She died before 1893.
- Rajkumari Muktamala Devi, married 1873, Sri Raja
Chaitanya Chandra Harichandan Jagadeb, Baghela Raja
of Athagada, died 1875, and had issue. She died in
September 1909.

- Rajkumari Manikyamala Devi, married Rajkumar
Joginder Bhupati Mohapatro of Sukinda. She died in
June 1909.

married and had issue (see above). She died 1893.

1876/-, born 1876, he succeeded as Zamindar of Tekkali
at birth; after his death, the estate was divided into
two portions for his two surviving sons; married and
had issue, three sons.
