WALA, 8th and present Darbar Sahib of Pithadia educated at Rajkumar College, Rajkot (1967). PREDECESSORS and SHORT HISTORY: The
Ruling Family descends from the Jaitani branch
of the Wala clan, and whose ancestor was Jaitha Wala.
Afterwards
subsequent members of the house conquered Mendarda and
surrounding
villages from the Kathis of the Salarka tribe. It was a
Fourth Class State, also known as Jetpur-Pithadia or
Mulu Surag Vala's Estate, with succession governed by
the rule of primogeniture which was
adopted in the state by Darbar Shri Mulu Wala, with the
permission of
the British Government, its jurisdictional powers were
as follows, Criminal - Three years rigorous imprisonment
and fines of up to 5,000Rs, Civil - fines of up to
