PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY:
The founder of the lineage was Maharaj Shri Viramdeoji
Sahib of Ghosunda, third son of Maharana Udai Singhji II
of Mewar, and his second wife, Maharani Solankini
Sehjabai, daughter of Rao Prithvi Singh Solanki of Toda
(now Toda Rai Singh in Tonk). In about 1742, Thakur Naval
Singhji, grandson of Thakur Vijay Singhji, 3rd Thakur
Saheb of Chagatiya (see Kherabad),
was granted the jagir of Dhaneriya plus 11 villages, which
he exchanged for the jagir of Pahuna. Estate holders

SINGHJI, 1st Thakur Saheb of Pahuna, he
captured the forts of Atun and Arjiya on behalf of
Maharana Bhim Singhji of Mewar, and was granted the
jagir of Dhaneriya plus 11 villages, which he
exchanged for the jagir of Pahuna, married and had
issue.

SINGHJI, 4th Thakur Saheb of Pahuna, he was
adopted in about 1861 from Chagatia jagir (see Kherabad), he brought
his older brother, Kushaal Singhji, with him and
settled him in Pahuna; married 1stly, a daughter of
the Kumpawat Rathore Thakur Sahib of Chandawal,
married 2ndly, a daughter of the Thakur Sahib of
Siriyari, and had adoptive issue. He died sp.

Sahib of Kankarwa, adopted in about
1875, he succeeded as Thakur Jodh Singhji, Thakur
Saheb of Pahuna (qv)
- Thakur JODH SINGHJI, Thakur
Saheb of Pahuna -/1934, youngest son of Rawat Sahib
Uday Singhji, Thakur Sahib of Kankarwa, he was
adopted in about 1875 by Thakur Madho Singhji of
Pahuna, he had built a new fort on the outskirts of
Pahuna in 1891 and two lakes, namely Harisagar and
Gopalsagar; he was a close confidant of Maharana
Sajjan Singhji, and afterwards he was placed in charge
of Maharajkumar Bhupal Singhji�s care by Maharana
Fateh Singhji of Mewar; married a daughter of
Udaisinghot-Kumpawat Rathore Thakur of Bushi in
Marwar, and had issue. He died 1934.

- Thakur Hari Singhji, he was in the service of
Maharanas Fateh Singhji and Bhupal Singhji of Mewar,
married Thakurani Udai Kanwar, daughter of
Jassa/Jaisa Bhati Thakur of Lawera, Jodhpur, and had
issue.
- Brigadier Thakur Jaswant Singhji, born 1916, he
served with the Mewar Lancers, 9th Grenadiers
(Mewar Inf.) and 2nd Btn Sikh Regiment, he served
during World War II in North Africa and Italy; he
took part in Operation Polo at Naldurg, Tuljapur,
Latur and Osmanabad (accession of Hyderabad), in
Kashmir 1948, Operation Vijay (liberation of Goa)
where he undertook the surrender of Diu; Deputy
Commandant, Indian Military Academy; Staff
Officer, Ministry of Defense and Staff Officer,
National Defense Academy, Khadakvasla; married
Thakurani Man Kanwar, daughter of Thakur Khuman
Singhji Hada of Dabri, Kotah, and had issue. He
died 2004.

Singhji of Harasar,
son of Thakur Jeevraj Singhji.

Hemant Kanwar, daughter of Thakur Ratan Singhji,
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Central
Bureau of Investigation) of Anandpuri, Banswara,
and has issue.
- Kanwarani Pratima Kanwar, married to Kunwar
Deependra Singhji Rathore, son of Kanwar
Bhupinder Singh of Jubbal, and has issue, one
daughter.

- Kunwar Samant Singhji, married daughter of
Bhojrajika Shekhawat Thakur Sahib of Kedh,
Shekawati, and had issue. He died 1943.
- Lt.-Col. Kunwar Gulab Singhji, served with the
Mewar Bhupal Infantry, 2nd Bihar Regiment, also
served during World War II in North Africa;
married a daughter of Thakur Dhool Singhji of
Koela, Kotah, and had issue.

Engineering Advisor; married to Kunwarani Aruna
Kanwar, daughter of Chudasama Thakur Sahib of
Gamph, Gujarat, and has issue.

to the Territorial Army; married and had issue.
- Kunwar Devendra Singhji, married to a daughter
of Thakur Bhairu Singhji of Kelwa.
- Kunwar Kishen Singhji, he was adopted by his
uncle and succeded as Thakur Kishen Singhji,
Thakur Sahib of Pahuna (see below)
