PREDECESSORS AND SHORT HISTORY:
The state, also known as Kherli Tanwaran, was founded by a
grant from Maharao Ram Singhji of Kotah in 1836. This
jagir was offered to Thakur Pratap Singh from Kelawa Kalan by way of Sala-Katari. Estate
holders were.....
- Thakur Pratap Singh,
1st Thakur Saheb of Kherli, Shrinal and Gopalpura
1836/-; married and had issue, three sons.
- Thakur Khushal Singh, he succeeded to Kherli, as
his portion of the estate (qv)
- Thakur Fateh Singh, he succeeded to Shrinal, as his
portion of the estate.
- Thakur Udai Singh, he succeeded to Gopalpura, as
his portion of the estate.
- Thakur Khushal
Singh, 2nd Thakur Saheb of Kherli -/1870,
married and had issue.
- Thakur Bheem Singh,
3rd Thakur Saheb of Kherli 1870/-, born in or about
1867, married and had issue.

Chagan Singh, son of Thakur Chittar Singh
of Shrinal, he was adopted to Kherli and succeeded as
