HISTORY:
The family belongs to the Durjansinghot branch of the Rajawat sub-clan,
descended
from Raja Man Singh of Jaipur (1590/1615). Rulers were....
- Thakur DURJAN SINGH,
1st Thakur of Dhula -/1597, he was born as the fourth son of Mirza Raja
Man Singhji I of Amber, and his wife,
Rani Sahodra Gaud, and he received the Jagir of Dhula from his father,
a
general
in the Imperial Mughal army; captured the fort of Kakrura in 1596, and
recaptured the fort of Busna in June 1597, married and had issue. He
was
killed in a fierce naval engagement 19 kilometres off Vikrampur on 5th
September 1597.

- Thakur PURSHOTTAM SINGH,
2nd Thakur of Dhula 1597/-, mansabdar in the mughal army,
married and
had issue.
- Thakur Ramchandra Singh (qv)
- Thakur RAMCHANDRA SINGH,
3rd Thakur of Dhula, mansabdar in the Mughal army,
married and
had issue. He died in battle.
- Thakur Nirbhay Singh (qv)
- Thakur NIRBHAY SINGH,
4th Thakur of Dhula, he may have been a grandson of Thakur
Ramchandra Singh rather than a son, married and had issue.
- Rawal DALAL SINGH,
5th Rawal of Dhula -/1767, born about 1692, a brave general and a
trusted
noble of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II of Jaipur, serving as Faujdar
and Kotwal, built Dalalgarh in Dhula Village and Dhula Haveli
in
Jaipur. He led the Jaipur forces as the commander in chief in numerous
battles, including the well known battle of Maunda and Mandoli against
Maharaja Jawahir Singh of Bharatpur in the 1767. Though he fought
bravely
and won the battle, he died in the battle along with his son and
grandson,
he married and had issue. He died 1767 aged 75.
- Kunwar Laxman Singh, was granted the Thikana of Thetra,
which reverted
back to Dhula, when he died without issue. He died sp in battle
at Maunda in 1767.
- Kunwar Raghunath Singh, married and had issue. He died in
battle.
- Kunwar Raghuraj Singh, died in battle at Maunda in 1767.
- Kunwar Megh Singh, succeeded as Rawat Megh Singh (qv)
- Kunwar Hathi Singh, died young.
- Rawal MEGH SINGH,
6th Rawal of Dhula 1767/-, married Rani Kushal Kanwar, daughter of
Thakur Bhagwat Singh of Rohet, and his
first wife, Thakurani Chand
Kanwar, and had issue, one son.

3rdly, daughter of the Thakur Saheb of Thikana Nimoria in Jaipur, died sp,
married 4thly, daughter of the Thakur Saheb of Thikana Jaola in
Jodhpur,
and had issue, three sons and three daughters.

of Thikana Metra in
Jodhpur.

College, Indore and Allahabad University (B.A.), presentely working in
a leading travel firm in Jaipur (2005).
